I've been working on a ton of things simultaneously which has me splitting my time among working online on the live grid, working on the beta grid, and working offline in various programs. Of course, real life events have to be inserted in there somewhere as well such as the need to eat and sleep. What really doesn't help matters is that a lot of my favorite TV shows start up this week. Yay for fall programming.
With that said, one of the things I'd been picking away at is this unisex flexi dread style, Blair. On the advise of a wise woman, I made a tintable shaved head base which is included with the style. It saves on inventory and you can tweak it how you want. However, you don't have to wear it with the shaved base. You can wear it with a normal hair base or use no base at all. The choice is yours. As always, the hair is copy, modify, no transfer and is equipped with resizer. The shaved hair base for this one is also copy, modify, no transfer.

New Release - Maxine
I went a little overboard on doing the promo shots this time so I had to condense the pictures. This is a dread style with a flexi dread pony in the back. The hair is copy, modify, no transfer AND is equipped with resizing script. The hair base is included with the style but, as one sharp person caught immediately when she saw the style....you don't have to wear the hairbase with it. ;)

Finally! Something new
It's been awhile since I've gotten anything new out but I'm starting to get off my duff and do things again.
Sultana is now out in the store. I actually did this one awhile ago but never put it out there. The hairbase is included on this one.

New Release
You don't realize exactly how long it's been since you last posted until you go to do a blog post and find out things have changed. Lots of things have been going on for me lately and there doesn't seem to be any slow down in sight so in the meantime, I'll do what I can.
The one out in the store now is called Shirl which may have something to do with the fact that Garbage is coming to town around the end of September and I've got tickets. Yay! Garbage. You know...the band? Nevermind.
It's meant to be a short-ish messy style and because there's a lot of smaller prims on this one, the hairbase is included.
Playlist:
"Matilda" by Stateless; "No Reflection" by Marilyn Manson and "Stripper" by Sohodolls
Style Notes:
Skin: Ataciara by The Plastik
Necklace: Rushana by Mandala
Eye Makeup: Cat Eyes by Nuuna's Skins
Nose & Lip Piercings: Kali and Minotaur (yes they're my favs) by Loulou & Co
Clothing: Diabolique by Indyra Originals

The Hair Fair Post Yay!
The creative process is never neat and rarely pretty. My studio is an explosion of textures, prims, sculpties and pose stands. My inventory isn't much better. There were many late nights that carried over into the daylight hours which reached the height of delirium when I stared blankly at the strand of my hair floating in my coffee and wondered at what point I pulled that one out. Suffice it to say that Maxwell House and I are on a chummy, first name basis. I also can't help but wonder that if I'm feeling this worn out, I can't imagine how the Hair Fair committee members are feeling. To their credit, they're always cheery and helpful.
There's five entries for this year's Hair Fair plus the gift. Two styles are on the wacky side, two are modern and one is a retro. The gift is something completely different. Onto the styles....
Gracie is a simple retro style complete with curls galore and bows. This style only comes in the solid colors - no tip colors.
Skin: Moonbeam Autumn by Curio
Dress: Orient Corset Dress by KWZ
Jewelry: Chandraki by Earthstones
Playlist: the Nocturnes by Chopin
The two modern styles: Heather has an off-center part and two messy ponies with a bit of added flex.
Skin: Alena Scene by Pink Fuel
Clothing: Chaotica by GothiCatz
Bracelets: Sinra2 Bracelet by Mandala
Playlist: "She Blinded Me With Science" by Thomas Dolby, "Policy of Truth" by Depeche Mode and "Atmen" by Mix and Magix
Alkaline sports a different type of ponies (I'm sensing a theme here...)
Skin: Lunatic by Coca & Wolf
Bracelets: Morte Mia by Loulou & Co
Necklace: Rock 'n' Rolla Heartbreak Chain by Naith Smit Design
Nose Piercing: Minotar by Loulou & Co
Shirt: Jerry Lee by Loulou & Co
Playlist: "What Girls Are Made Of", "Blood For Poppies" by Garbage and "Xcess" by Slick Idiot
And now on to the wacky ones....
Cronos is a large hair style with beads, braids, feathers and vertical-ness in the front.
Skin: Veronica by Deam Ink
Clothes: Madison by Indi Designs
Playlist: "Now is Forever" and "Helium" by Syrian
Last up...Alien. I had images of Giger in my head when I did this one. It was a little more intricate to build with twisting the hair strands over the bones. I loved doing this one although it almost drove me bats aligning the bones and the hair with it.
Skin: Anima Mae Bare by Rue
Eye Makeup: Dark Style Eyeshadow by Kosh
Lipstick: Glossy Lips by Kosh
Eyeliner and Face Tattoo by Pin Me Down
Catsuit: Submission by KC
Eyes: Haunt Frost by The Plastik
Playlist: "Am I To Blame" by Razed in Black and "Reptilian" by NIN
Aaaaaand finally...the gifty. I've called this one Ferocity and it comes in two colors: Natural Tiger and White Tiger. The gift as well as all the other styles are Mod/Copy and are equipped with resizing script.
Now that it's all done, my poor hubby won't have to stop to peel his music-pumped, sugar-hyped, caffeinated wife off the ceiling before getting in the shower. If you'll all excuse me, I'm going to go to bed and set my alarm for August.

Quickie
I released a hair style and forgot to put it on the blog. Doh! I've been a little preoccupied with Hair Fair things, the RFL walk and creating gifties for other events. (Why does everything seem to happen in July?) Anyway, when the dust cleared I found I had built one too many hairstyles. The one I put out in the store is called Lana.

Screamin' Prims
I've got a new release out which resulted from playing around with prim torture and I had fun making those prims scream. The result...a funky hairstyle that I also had a blast doing creative shots with. I'll post those in the Hairoin Flickr group a little later. I've got two done and I'm working on two others. It's called Lucid and is twisted ribbons of hair with a ponytail in the back secured with chain.

New Release
I'm finally back at it after being quiet for so long. My RL has finally settled down, sorta, and so has my computer for the time being. My computer decided it was time to ride the short bus like it was some kind of wild bronco and gave me 2 months worth of problems that would have tried the patience of Mother Theresa. It got so that I started to cringe every time I got near my computer so rather than send it to decorate the bottom of the ocean in a fit of frustration, I decided the better course of action was to just walk away. It's still giving me grief every once in awhile but I can live with this as it's better than the alternative which is to do a complete wipe and start over.
With that said, I've now got two new styles out, both are tall ones.
The first one is Philandra - a tower of locks, clocks. claws and curls.
Dress: Basa in red by Yome Shoujo
Skin: Mai Goth by Nuuna's Skins
Face Tattoo: Painted Moth Blush Faded by Rue
Playlist: "Take" & "Sirens" by The Pack A.D.
This one is Twisted Tower which is hair twisted and piled high for a more classic look. This one comes in solid colors only. The packs and complete packs have had prices adjusted accordingly.
Dress: After Midnight by Cleo Couture
Necklace & Earrings: Milky Way by Mandala
Skin: Sia Fair by League
Eyeliner: Makeups #2 by Nuuna's Skins
Eyebrow Ring: Nornir by Rozoregalia
Playlist: "uknowhatiwant" by Elektrisk Gonner & "Living Without You" by Mona Lisa Overdrive

Five Releases
I've been diving into genealogy lately and the only desire I've come away with is to build a time machine so I can go back and put bar codes on all the ancestors. I swear the only names available were Robert, John, William and Margaret. If that isn't bad enough, they had the audacity to either go by a nickname or use their middle name. You can imagine how much fun that can be when trying to match census records with birth and marriage records. I had to haul in an extra table to sit beside my computer desk to house the scanner, albums, local history books and notes I've made. Despite that, my desk is still under a deluge of pads, pens, rulers and miscellaneous loose papers which is why I can't find the notepad I had been keeping track of the music I was listening to while I was creating these hairstyles so there's no 'playlist' notes for this post. I'm sure I'll come across my lost notepad at some point.
The first one is BB, named after the woman that had requested this simple yet elegant updo.
Style Notes:
Skin: Lacie 2 by Laqroki
Jewelry: Chandraki by EarthStones
Dress: Speakeasy by Cleo Couture
These next two are variations. The first one is the 'no frills' version called Electron which is a very tall spiraled hair. There's no tips colors for this style so the Dead Pack and Complete Pack have had their prices adjusted to reflect this.
Style Notes:
Skin: Sara (Pearl) by Tuli
Jewelry: Dark Charm by Damania
Dress: Queenie Ze Vamp by Bewitched
Model: Seven Paragon
This one is called Magnetic which is a more elaborate flexi version of the above.
Style Notes:
Skin: Maya by Dream Ink
Face Tattoo: Nuuna's face tattoos/makeups 2 by Nuuna's Skins
Dress: Necromancer by Chaospire
Mask: Teaser Face Mask by N1CO
The last two are male and female versions of the same hair which is called Hunter.
Style Notes:
Skin: Gabriel by Naughty Designs
Clothing: Rune Uprise by DE Designs
Model: Leighton Toxx
Style Notes:
Skin: Persephone by addiXion
Clothes: Zombi Hunter Lady by BareRose
Face Tattoo: Formula for a Nightmare by Little Pricks
While I was doing the photo sessions I couldn't resist taking some pictures for use as creative shots which I'm sure I'll get around to at some point in time and while I'm on this theme, Ruina Kessel, a wonderfully creative individual, has started a Hairoin Hair Flickr group (much to my delight and surprise) which can be found here http://www.flickr.com/groups/1766638@N25/. So if you're feeling an artistic spark and want to show it off be sure to stop by the Flickr group to post it.

New Releases
I meant to get these out in August but I've been busy dodging bullets, so to speak.
I've got 4 new ones out in the store. I'll start with the style that has two variations first. This is Afreet which comes with an optional gothic head piece that attaches to the chin and, like the hair, is equipped with the resizing menu. You can see the head piece better in the last shot.
Skin - Maya by Dream Ink
Make up - Nuuna's Makeups V4 by Nuuna's Skins
Dress - Eve by Cleo Couture
Nose chain - Ganesh by LOULOU&CO
Playlist: "Got to Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye and "I Wish I Was The Moon" by Neko Case
Next is the Afreet Short version. As you can see, same idea except without the long, flowing locks. Again, the head piece is included and is equipped with the resizing menu.
Skin - Ataciara, Song, London Fog by The Plastik
Clothes - Necromancer by Designs by Isaura
Playlist: "Girls Can Be Cruel" and "Love and Imitation" by Infusion
This one is Bourgeois Bomb. More of a Victorian style with the hair piled up high.
Skin - Elena pale by Laq
Dress - At the Ascot by Cleo Couture
Earrings - Morpheus by LOULOU&CO
Playlist: "Nhu Suong Mai" by Phuong Vy and "Kamasutra" by Sitar
Finally, there's Trine. This one has the hair pulled back to form three ponytails down the back. Kinda like something I used to do as a teenager.
Skin - Olivia Milky by Laq
Clothes - Bonney Lass by PixelDolls
Playlist: "Howlin' For You" by The Black Keys and "Magnetizing" by Marsmobil
