The Insidious Byzantine

It's about this time of year that all things SL begin to slow down.  I'm sure it will probably be slower than usual inworld since it's been a pretty ugly winter all around and people are beginning to twitch for the chance to get outside.  Personally, I have been utterly caged indoors for 3 weeks and I think the strain is beginning to show. The hubby has made it his personal mission to get the lunatic on a supervised outing ever since he saw said lunatic laughing hysterically over watching Yoda say, "Lost your f***ing mind, you have."  Sadly, I can offer no reasonable explanation as to why this should elicit the response it did and still does. Now on to the title of the post.

Two new styles, the first is called Insidious.

This punk style has a bit of movement in it with stiff flexis giving the feel of hair that's been sprayed and gel'd so heavily into place you could snap it in half.  The dual braids on either side are decorated with beads in various colors/textures and a couple of hair strands that slip down in front.

I've been on a bit of an Asian hair kick lately.  I've been checking out the traditional hair and clothing styles and wow! The hair styles themselves are simple enough but the adornments are gorgeous and pretty elaborate.  Byzantine is a simple Asian influenced hairstyle.

The head piece for this style is optional, copy only, and attaches to the chin.  It's equipped with a menu system that allows for resizing, positioning, alpha/texture/color change, etc.  You can make individual changes to prims or you can change groups of prims.  The groups are chain, band, flower and gem.  The next two pictures give you a bit of a feel for your options.

The next set of images give you a feel for the drapes and twists in the hair.

I almost forgot to mention that the Jeolla region has undergone a bit of a makeover.  It's something I've been wanting to do for quite sometime but just never got around to it. There's a water section in the north west corner, a cabin by a stream in the north east corner with a marsh area right across from that.  There's a creepy forest section with the rest of the area being filled with birds, flowers and trees.  It's a place you can hang out, rp or just explore if you're bored.  I hope you enjoy it!

Finally! A new release

I've managed to recover enough from the chemo so that I can get a couple of styles out.  Chemo. Not exactly the kind of drugs I was hoping for....

I've got two new styles out in the store - first up is Bounce.

This is got a bit of flex to with wispy strands added to the longer side of the hair. There's also a bit of bedhead  with the tufts poking up from the crown.

Don't worry about the feathers. You're not going to come out looking like the chicken lady (and it's probably only the Canadians out there that get the reference on that one. I miss the chicken lady.)  Again with the hair pulled to one side but this time it creates poofy chaos and the feathers in the hair could either be 1) a reflection on the state of the hair i.e. rat's nest or 2) trophies from the ex you just plucked.
Okay...okay. I'm going to stop there because it's 3:13 am and I no longer have a clue what I'm talking about.
